INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

 

The Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA) now invites sealed Bids from qualified Contractors to undertake the rehabilitation of farm roads in various parishes for this financial year and consist of four (4) packages.

   Package 1, Geddes Town to Fontabelle, Charlott to 4H, Camberwell to Georges (St. Mary)

   Package 2, Bernard Lodge, Ivy to Ebony Vale, Cocoa Walk and Corners to Friendship (St. Catherine)

   Package 3, Greenvalley to Prospect, Shrewsbury to Green Valley, Lacovia to Slip and Ridge to Top Hill       (St. Elizabeth)

Package 4, Mount Zion to Lillyfield, Flamstead to Queenshythe, Clarksonville to Campbell Land and   Budhole Road (St. Ann)

SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor will be required to undertake the rehabilitation of road pavements inclusive of asphaltic double surface treatment, drainage improvement (culverts, kerb and channel) and some asphaltic concrete cross drains and surfacing and brushing of road ways.

ELIGIBILITY FOR TENDER:

Local Competitive Bidding (LCB) Procurement Method will be used and tenderers must submit the following along with their bid:

Completed and signed Form of Bid (in the prescribed format).

A valid National Contracts Commission (NCC) in the category of General Road Works – Grade 1-2 (See http://www.ocg.gov.jm/ocg/),

  • A valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)
  • Bid Security of $91,800.00

COLLECTION OF DOCUMENTS:
Tender documents are available at a non-refundable cost of $3,500.00 and maybe collected on weekdays starting Tuesday October 9, 2018 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. from the Accounts Department, RADA, 193 Old Hope Road, Kingston 6.


Failure to directly purchase Bid Document from RADA will result in the ineligibility/non-responsiveness of the bidder from participating in the procurement process.

DATE AND TIME FOR RETURN OF TENDERS:
Bids must be clearly marked “Farm Road Rehabilitation” and shall be deposited in the tender box located in Room 30, RADA Head Office Conference Room, Hope Gardens, Kingston 6 on or before Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10:00 am. Late bids will be rejected.

Public Opening of tenders will follow at 10:15a.m. in Room 30, RADA Head Office Conference Room, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.

The RADA reserves the right to accept or reject any tenders or to cancel the tender process without any explanation to prospective bidders.
