HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION

 

The mission of the Human Resource Management & Administration Division is the provision of an efficient and professional cadre of staff, to facilitate the execution of the Authority's mandate, and the achievement of its objectives.

Generally, the Authority is guided by the policies and procedures established by Central Government instruments such as Staff Orders, Public Service Regulations, FAA Act, and the various labour laws and industrial relations practices in force from time to time. Its operational policies and procedures are outlined in its Personnel Policy and Procedures manual. The Division is comprised of the following components:

· General Administration
- stores, procurement and office Management
· Human Resource Management - Personnel & Industrial Relations

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:-


Management of the personnel, industrial relations and administration programmes of the Authority.

· Provision of advice to the Executive Director, Senior Managers and staff on Human Resource Management and industrial relation issues;

· Development and implementation of an appropriate staff training and development policy to maximize staff potential and to accomplish the Authority's mandate in an efficient and effective manner;

· Initiation and development of strategic and tactical programmes to benefit staff and to provide and maintain a healthy industrial climate;

· Procurement and maintenance of office accommodation, supplies, equipment, goods and services for use by the Authority's staff.

The Division practices an open door policy and is committed to the delivery of a caring and professional service to its internal and external customers.
It's affairs are conducted by an efficient and motivated cadre of staff who, under the management of a Director, is committed to providing an effective support system to the Authority's over four hundred (400) men and women who make up its workforce.
