The Technology, Training & Technical Information (TTT & I) division is one of RADA's extension services divisions. As the name suggests, the division has a three-pronged role. It satisfies the needs of the Agriculture fraternity, gardeners, students and the general public with respect to technical information and technology, whilst taking care of the internal needs of the agency as well as those of farmers, with regard to all three areas. The division, headed by a director, is comprised of specialists in scripting, training, graphic arts, and various Agriculture fields, along with a support staff of a secretary and a typesetter. Each specialist works within his/her area to fulfill the department's role and function. TT&T I's role is multi-faceted. It provides extension services to farmers, giving them the opportunity to have the expertise of specialists in different agricultural fields advise and assist them with their specific needs. These agricultural specialists also train RADA's field staff to deal with special situations that pop up from time-to-time, such as infestations of new pests in Jamaica, and update them about new developments in Agriculture. The division also creates Agriculture training manuals and information booklets, aimed at addressing the specific needs of farmers, students, members of staff and the general public. A new thrust that the division has undertaken is to create this kind of material on videotape, adding a new dimension to its service. A library, situated within the department, houses a small collection of manuals, information booklets and leaflets, all produced by the division, plus newsletters and other periodicals from external organizations, both national and international. It's not only the training needs of field officers and farmers that the division has a hand in, but also those of the general staff, co-ordinating internal training, plus updating staff members of educational opportunities that are available outside of the agency

What is the Division's Role?
The Technology, Training & Technical Information division also participates in several expositions and agricultural shows on a yearly basis, mounting exhibits and/or helping to plan the event. This is but another method it exploits to educate and inform both on agricultural matters and RADA's work.
The various division specialists, although responsible for his/her area of expertise, work in tandem to ensure that the division's work is successfully executed.
